Sandusky Bay Initiative: Raccoon Creek Natural Shoreline Project
The Nature Conservancy

Restoration of wetlands to process nutrients and remove nutrient ladent sediments, reduce sediment resuspension and promote the establishment of submergent and emergency aquatic vegetation in Sandusky Bay. This is the first project in the Sandusky Bay Initiative. Littoral Services has been subcontracted to provide in-water technical support, Blanding’s Turtle avoidance and minimization services, and will oversee all planting, wildlife mitigation, invasive species management, replanting, and post-restoration monitoring.
